FOD8173 系列采用拉伸体 6 引脚小型塑料封装，由镓铝砷 (AlGaAs) 发光二极管和 CMOS 检测器集成电路组成，该检测器集成电路包括集成光电二极管、高速互阻抗放大器和带有图腾柱输出驱动器的电压比较器。其电气和开关特性在 -40°C 至 100°C 的扩展工业温度范围和 3 V 至 5.5 V 的 VDD 范围内得以保证。
